Dear Fellow Travel Addicts

Dear fellow travel addicts.

I GET IT! Wanderlust mixed with covid-19 fatigue has afflicted all of us with a myriad of emotion. Countries are beginning to open their borders, covid cases are low in many places, so why shouldn’t we travel? I can relate to the struggle, but is it as simple as that?

I admit I get a twinge of envy when I see pictures of people poolside in a Mexican resort, vagabonding across South America, or posting airport pics on their way to some exotic port. I get a bit annoyed when I see advertisements from travel agencies urging people to “contact us for special covid-19 prices.”

Being the owner of a travel company, I am losing not only the life-giving experience of travel, I am also losing my income. So why not jump aboard and get Kendi World Adventures up and running again? Why not schedule a tour and spend some time in the sun?

Kendi World Adventures, was created with a clear vision for ethical travel. Our goals include, showing it is possible to travel both comfortably and on a budget; to encourage travelers to spend their money in ways that keep tourist dollars within local communities; and to reinforce the importance of respecting other cultures and environments through responsible tourism. But what does it look like to travel responsibly during an epidemic?

At Kendi, we believe that, in part, it means to protect not only our guests, but also those impacted by our presence; our drivers, hotel operators, housekeepers, cooks, waiters, guides, and all those who call the country their home. As visitors, we must do what we can to avoid spreading the virus.

So, after much consideration, and long, difficult discussions with our partners in Costa Rica and India, we have made some hard decisions. Due to the rapidly rising numbers in covid cases in India, we will not be resuming our tours there until possibly 2022. However, considering the facts that borders in Costa Rica are now open to tourists, the covid numbers are low and many US citizens have been or are eligible for being vaccinated, we will resume our tours to Costa Rica in late summer/early fall of 2021. We will have safety regulations in place, please check our website’s Terms and Conditions page at Terms and Conditions | kendi (kendiworldadventures.com) https://www.kendiworldadventures.com/terms-and-conditions- for more details.

If you would like to book a private tour for six or more, or book an open tour (no number minimum), please contact us at 360-335-0127 or info@kendiworldadventures.com or book online at www.kendiworldadventures.com
